Ode to my sorrows

If my happiness had once been you,
You’re now the reason my sorrows grew.
There was warmth, yet now nothing to hold,
As I slowly drown in shadows cold.

Drowning into the void that kills,
In silence where all light stands still.
Oh, how I yearn for dawn’s release,
To sever sorrow, to seek my peace.

But here I remain, tethered and torn,
Lost in the ache of a love now worn.
She, the sun, then set too soon,
Leaving me lone beneath the moon.

Each star, a wound, a distant cry,
A wish unanswered, left to die.
She drifts in dreams, a phantom face,
An endless ache, a hollowed space.

The woman I loved, my joy, my fall—
Now the reason for sorrow, my all in all.
How do I escape from this endless plight,
The labyrinth of suffering, the long, dark night?

It feels like a war to bear these sorrows,
A relentless fight in the shadows of my tomorrows.
I’m losing this fight, as I slowly fade away,
A ghost of myself in silence, I scream, yet no one can hear, drowning suffocated by fear.

How do I flee from the binds of you,
When my heart still beats to the love we knew?
Yet let me suffer till it's you.
Let me love till it’s you.

The suffocation to feel loved by you,
The ache to hold what feels so true.
The eager hope to be with you,
Is it only a myth, only a delusion,
A fragile dream wrapped in illusion?
